Title
Villa Kennedy
One of the couple hotels on the more residential Sachsenhausen side of the river, the villa can be found at the intersection of a few busy roads, but its enclosed grounds isolate it from any noise. The museum embankment is a five-minute walk away, the Römer a pleasant 25-minute walk beside the river, and there’s an S-Bahn station 10 minutes away.
Set across four floors, the Villa Kennedy spa has a marvelous 15-metre indoor pool, steam bath, a hot tub and sauna, as well as a fitness centre with modern equipment and a studio space for pilates and yoga classes.
The hotel’s 163 rooms and suites mostly bear the minimalist-luxe vision of Martin Brudnizki, with floors of finest Bavarian wood, restrained colour schemes and high-end textiles throughout. Deluxe King is the lowest category, and even these are roomy and elegant, with Lavazza coffee machines, large televisions and separate working areas in all rooms, while the marble bathrooms have separate shower units, heated mosaic floors and limestone dressing tables.
