Jack Camp Botswana
The charming Jack’s Camp is surrounded by the vast and pristine landscapes of the Makgadikgadi Pans National Park. Reminiscent of a traditional East African, 1940s safari camp, this spectacular retreat offers seven twin and three double canvas tents, all of which are spacious, stylish and embellished in textiles from India. Each tent features a lovely ensuite bathroom, with an indoor and alfresco shower, and a private veranda. Enjoy the warmth of the wood-burning morso stove, the coolness of the overhead bed cooling system, and beautiful natural history cabinets. Relax on your private veranda overlooking the Makgadikgadi that includes a sparkling plunge pool, a glorious respite from the heat.
Be spoilt for choice with the best in comfort food, and as you dine enjoy overlooking the awe-inspiring landscapes of the Kalahari. Sit back and relax in the iconic, nomadic Persian tea tent. Fascinating natural history cabinets, drinks chest and antique pool table are available for your pleasure in the new larger mess tent. Soak in the sun on the spacious sun deck and make a splash in the swimming pool. Lose yourself in a good book in the comfortable sitting room and browse the variety of titles in the African-themed library.
Treat yourself to wellness therapies in the dedicated spa tent, and peruse the shop brimming with treasures. Adventures on offer are morning walks and game drives, quad biking to the Makgadikgadi Pan (a relic of one of the world’s largest super lakes) and interactions with Bushmen.
