Cheval Blanc St-Tropez
Service, as you would expect from a hotel like this, is highly professional – there are 150 staff members for 30 bedrooms. There is a fitness center, a hairdresser and a Guerlain Spa with bespoke and signature treatments focusing on anti-ageing and high-technology equipment. A spa therapist comes onto the beach at regular intervals to massage sunscreen onto faces. There are 60 loungers on the white sand beach of Bouillabaisse in front of the hotel, and an huge pool just to the side of it. Water sports can be arranged.
La Vague d’Or, Chef Arnaud Donckele restaurant holding three Michelin stars, pulls in the crowds with dishes such as paste seaweed, turbot cooked in a salt, leaves and lime peel or langoustines with chestnut honey and rosemary from the Massif des Maures on his tasting menus of Timeless, The Land, The Sea and Epicurean Adventure. Lunch under the pine trees offers Provençal pleasures of rock fish soup with traditional Niçoise salad, saffron or frito misto. Breakfast is a feast with a trolley of fresh baked bread brought to your table, alongside eggs of your choice, a selection of cheeses, local hams and farm yogurts with fresh fruits.
