Bayerischer Hof
The Bayerischer Hof’s location couldn’t be better, only a couple of minutes from the city centre Marienplatz, Altstadt and central shopping streets. Guests get beautiful views of the historic Frauenkirche from the Blue Spa Bar & Lounge rooftop terrace, reflecting the hotel’s proximity to numerous sites of cultural importance.
The hotel will appeal to traditionalists, with its facade that looks noticeably 19th century and numerous history-focused rooms. It’s housed in the magnificent Montgelas Palace, with classical furnishings and architecture. Belgian designer Axel Vervoordt created many recent spaces and rooms, with his beautiful wooden tables lending them an authentic look. He also created the €12,000 per night enormous Penthouse Garden Suite.
Guests can be as spoiled as much as they are willing to pay for, though of course the basic service offered is exceptional: helpful, polite and knowledgeable staff. Facilities include a swimming pool, cinema, fitness centre, sauna, and the Blue Spa, with hair and beauty treatments also available.
